Ospreys of the Week: March 30-April 5

Softball
Evangelina Kim (Egg Harbor Twp./Atlantic Christian) batted .600 (6-10), leading the team. Kim had an impressive showing against NJCU where she got five hits and four stolen bases in the doubleheader. She ended the week with six hits, five stolen bases, four runs and one RBI.
 
McKenna George (Centennial, Colo./Eaglecrest) was named NJAC Player of the Week. George led the Ospreys in hits with 10 and runs with six for the week. The sophomore had four consecutive games with two or more hits. George ended the week with five stolen bases and two RBI as well.
 
Baseball
Jimmy Casey (Newtown, PA/Archbishop Wood) led the team with a .350 average, seven hits, seven runs, three homers and 10 RBI. Casey had an outstanding showing against Kean in which he totaled three hits, including two homers, five RBI and three runs on the day.
 
Tim Welsh (Allentown/Allentown) earned his first career win with eight strong innings in game one at Kean Welsh held the Cougars, who are ranked fifth nationally, to five runs in the eight innings that he pitched.
 
Women's Tennis
Rocio Lucero (West New York/Memorial) won 6-1, 6-0 at No. 1 singles and 6-2 at No. 2 doubles in Stockton's 4-3 victory over FDU-Florham.
 
Arielis Martinez (Millville/Cumberland Co. Tech) won 6-0, 6-0, at No. 2 singles and 6-2 at No. 1 doubles against FDU-Florham in Stockton's first win of the season.
 
Men's Lacrosse
Alex DeLierre (Bridgewater/Bridgewater-Raritan) had an impressive eight goals to lead the Ospreys in scoring for the week. DeLierre had four goals apiece in two consecutive games against Salisbury and Montclair State.
 
Ben Blum (Lenape/Mount Laurel) made crucial saves in goal with a season-high 14 saves in each game last week. Blum also picked up an assist and recorded a .528 save percentage to add to his impressive week.

Women's Lacrosse
Isabella Marinello (West Caldwell/Caldwell) was named NJAC Offensive Player of the Week for the first time this season. Marinello tied her own school record with 10 points as she netted five goals and dealt five assists against Kean in Stockton's only game last week.
 
Brielle Soltys (Absecon/Holy Spirit) received her fourth NJAC Rookie of the Week award. Soltys tallied seven caused turnovers, one away from the school record, plus two goals, two assists and four ground balls in a 20-2 triumph over Kean.
 
Men's Track & Field
Bryant Nelson (Millville/Millville) won the triple jump at the Osprey Open and moved into ninth in the nation (14.40m). Nelson also finished second in the high jump (1.86m).
 
Ahmad Fogg (Egg Harbor Twp./EHT) won the long jump at the Osprey Open and moved into 22nd in the nation (7.01m).
 
Women's Track & Field
Elaina Styer (Estell Manor/Ocean City) was chosen NJAC Field Athlete of the Week. Styer won the 100m hurdles and moved into 13th in the nation (14.50 seconds). The junior also won the long jump and moved into ninth in the nation with a personal best (5.63m). She finished fourth out of 40 in the 200m as well (26.43 seconds).
 
Kayla Kass (Bayonne/Bayonne) won the 800m (2:18.18) at the Osprey Open and also ran legs for the Stockton 4x400 and 4x800 relays that finished first.
