Galloway, N.J. – Six Stockton University track & field competitors qualified for the NCAA Division III Outdoor Track & Field Championships, which will be held in LaCrosse, Wisconsin on May 21-23.
Joie Buxton (Galloway/Absegami),
Kayla Kass (Bayonne/Bayonne),
Emma Petrolia (New Milford/New Milford) and
Elaina Styer (Estell Maor/Ocean City) will represent the Stockton women's team.
Ahmad Fogg (Egg Harbor Twp./EHT) and
Bryant Nelson (Millville/Millville) will compete for the Stockton men's team.
Kass will run the 800m at the NCAA Outdoor Championships for the fourth straight year. The senior also has two appearances at the NCAA Indoor Championships to her credit. Kass sits 20th in the nation with a top time of 2:10.43 at the Widener Paul Donahue Invitational on April 17. She is a four-time All-American in indoor and outdoor track & field combined (3X First Team, 1X Second Team).
Fogg, who was voted NJAC Outstanding Field Athlete for the second straight year, is ranked fourth in Division III in the long jump with a best distance of 7.43 meters at the NJAC Championships on May 2. The junior will be trying to add to his three previous All-American honors (2025 Second Team outdoor long jump, 2026 First Team indoor long jump, 2026 Second Team indoor triple jump).
Styer will compete in the heptathlon, an event in which she is ranked fourth in the nation with a school-record total of 5,050 points at the TCNJ Invite and Multi on April 9. The junior was voted NJAC Outstanding Field Athlete this spring. Styer earned a First Team All-America award with a runner-up finish at the NCAA Division III Indoor Track & Field Championships in March.
Petrolia is ranked ninth in Division III in the 400m hurdles with a school-record time of 1:00.89 at the Widener Final Qualifier on May 10. The senior earned an NJAC Honorable Mention nod in the event this year. Petrolia, a 2025 Second Team All-American, qualified for the NCAA Championships in the 400m hurdles for the third straight year.
Buxton is fourth overall and the top freshman in the country in the javelin with a personal best of 44.25 meters at the NJAC Championships on May 2 for which she was chosen NJAC Rookie of the Year. Buxton has won the javelin at seven of the eight meets in her rookie season, with the lone exception being the Penn Relays in which she competed against a predominantly Division I field.
Nelson is ranked 17th nationally in the triple jump with a personal-best leap of 14.69 meters at the NJAC Championships on May 3. An NJAC Second Team performer, the freshman has one win and one runner-up finish in seven triple jump competitions during his rookie outdoor season.
