Galloway, N.J. – Stockton University (1-0) made an impressive 2026 debut with a 5-0 victory over Arcadia University (0-1) in a game that was called due to lightning during the fourth quarter. Head coach
Sarah Elleman collected her 100th win at Stockton in the opener of her 11th season leading the Ospreys.
Jenna Gregula (Egg Harbor Twp./EHT) led Stockton with two goals and an assist in her first game as an Osprey. Sophomore
Meghan Phillips (Somers Point/Holy Spirit) scored her first career goal.
Maura Somers (Berlin/Eastern Regional) dished two assists.
The game was paused for nearly an hour due to a lightning delay during the first quarter. Stockton seized the momentum when play resumed and finally cashed in on their 11th penalty corner as Gregula deflected home a ball from
Olivia Catalano (Cinnaminson/Cinnaminson).
The Ospreys broke the game open with three goals in the third period. Phillips tipped in a pass from Gregula to spark a run of three markers in 8:04. Bruther scored on a blast after a feed from Somers and then
Brooke Ruiz (Voorhees/Eastern Regional) found the net on Somers' second assist in a row for a 4-0 lead.
Gregula potted her second on the night on a rebound with 3:02 gone in the fourth quarter to make it 5-0. Lightning returned with 6:57 left in the final period, bringing the game to an early end shortly before a deluge of rain blanketed the field.
Stockton goalkeeper
Delfina Vanelli (Galloway/Cedar Creek) made two saves for her first career shutout. Arcadia goalie Anna Dobolovosky made 18 saves as Stockton racked up 23 shots on goal.
Stockton's next game will be at Bryn Mawr on Thursday at 5:00 p.m.
