Galloway, NJ – Stockton University (0-2-1) held the Ursinus Bears (1-1-1) to just five shots and came away with a 1-1 draw in the home opener for the Ospreys. Freshman
Cooper Adinolfi (Medford/Shawnee) scored the lone tally for the home team.
The Bears opened the scoring at 17:51 when Jospeh Kmetz found the top right corner on an assist from JohnPaul Fernandez for a 1-0 lead.
Adinolfi knotted the game in the 34th minute when he scored the second goal of his young career for a 1-1 tie.
Demier Tossie (Glassboro/Glassboro) and
Aiden Hoenisch (Bordentown/Notre Dame) assisted on the tally. For Tossie it was his first career point as an Osprey.
The final half was scoreless as neither team could make a run at the game winner and the match ended in the 1-1 draw.
Dan Raivitch (Langhorne, PA/Neshaminy) did not have to make a save in 74:23 of playing time in net. Freshman
Cole Butler (Marlton/Cherokee) saw his first collegiate action, playing the final 15:37, also without having to make a save.
Josiah Moore kicked out four Stockton attempts for the Bears.
After playing three games in five days, the Ospreys will travel to Madison, NJ to face Drew University on Wednesday. Game time is set for 7:30pm.
