Galloway, NJ – Stockton University (1-0-1) scored in the 84th minute to forge a 2-2 draw against York College (1-0-2) on Sunday afternoon.
Mia Caruso (Brick/Brick Memorial) potted her second goal of the season to give Stockton the 2-2 tie.
The Spartans scored first at 19:08 on an own goal that eluded the Osprey defense, before
Kylee Reissek (Newfield/Delsea) tallied her second marker of the year on a penalty kick in the 24th minute to knot the game at 1-1.
Just over 13 minutes later, Meg Kalthof blasted a goal from just over 30 yards out to the top right corner, to give the visitors a 2-1 lead at the break.
The game would remain a one-goal affair until Stockton was awarded a free kick near midfield.
Erin Lally (Lumberton/Rancocas Valley) inserted the kick that found its way to Caruso in front of the net. Her volley made it to the back of the twine for the 2-2 tie at 83:20.
York had one last opportunity, but the attempt sailed wide right in the 89th minute and the teams squared at 2-2.
Tori Vliet (Marmora/Ocean City) made four stops in net, while her counterpart Madison O'Brien stopped three Osprey shots.
The Ospreys will travel to Madison, NJ for their next match, to face Drew University on Wednesday afternoon. Game time is set for 4:30pm.
