J.J. McKenna is in his fourth year as an assistant coach at Stockton. He is in charge of working with the faceoff men as well as contributing to the offense and defense strategies. McKenna moved into coaching after four years of playing on the college level. 

McKenna began his career at Rutgers in 2018 before playing three seasons at Stockton. He scored 23 goals and dished 15 assists for 38 points in 31 games. McKenna had his best season in 2019 when he tallied 16 goals with 10 assists for 26 points. He totaled 23 goals and 15 assists for 38 points and added 38 ground balls in his college career.

In addition to his collegiate career, McKenna played for the Philippines national team at the World Lacrosse Championship in 2018 and 2023. He earned his bachelor’s degree in Psychology from Stockton in 2022.
