Kara Sanford is in her second year as an assistant women’s lacrosse coach at Stockton. A native of Pine Beach, New Jersey, Sanford coached at her alma mater Toms River South High School in 2013 and also spent three years as a NJSIAA high school lacrosse referee before joining the Stockton staff.
Sanford played four seasons at Georgian Court, where she earned All-CACC Second Team honors twice. In 70 career games for the Lions, Sanford tallied 85 goals and 34 assists for 119 points. She finished fifth in the nation in draw controls (4.17) and 16th nationally in caused turnovers (1.56) in 2007. Sanford obtained her bachelor’s degree in marketing & business administration from Georgian Court in 2011.
