Kim Williams

Kim Williams is in her second year as the Stockton head women’s lacrosse coach after steering the Ospreys to a successful inaugural season in 2014. Williams, a native of Long Valley, New Jersey, led the Ospreys to an impressive 10-5 record in their first season of intercollegiate play. The position at Stockton is Williams’ first as a head coach at the college level and she earned her first career victory with a 16-4 rout of Notre Dame (MD) in the program’s opener on March 1, 2014.

Williams was selected in April 2013 to be Stockton’s initial head women’s lacrosse coach after completing a three-year stint as an assistant coach at Colby College (ME). Williams took the reins of the fledgling Stockton program after three seasons of great success at Colby. The Mules made NCAA Tournament appearances all three years, reaching the NCAA quarterfinals in 2011 and 2012 and NCAA second round in 2013.

Colby finished the 2013 season ranked 10th in the final Intercollegiate Women’s Lacrosse Coaches Association (IWLCA) national poll. Players that Williams coached at Colby earned eight All-American honors from the IWLCA during her time on the coaching staff. In addition, she has experience from coaching the Long Island Liberty club team.

Williams was a highly accomplished college player at C.W. Post, where she earned All-American honors three times and also was named the IWLCA Division II Defender of the Year in 2008 and Womenslacrosse.com Division II Midfielder of the Year in 2010. Williams played on C.W. Post teams that won the NCAA championship in 2007 and reached the NCAA Final Four the next three years. She finished her career as a three-time East Coast Conference First Team selection.

Williams excelled in the classroom as well as on the field, earning numerous academic honors from the IWLCA, East Coast Conference and College Sports Information Directors of America (CoSIDA). She also garnered a Woman of Achievement Award and Distinguished Graduating Student Leadership Award from C.W. Post before graduating magna cum laude with her degree in Childhood Education in 2010. Prior to college, Williams played scholastically for West Morris, where she earned All-State Third Team honors.
