Jassina Surles

Jassina Surles is in her fourth year as an assistant coach at Stockton, which is her alma mater. Surles, who works with the Osprey sprinters and hurdlers, competed in the hurdles, long jump and relay during her four-year career at Stockton from 2013-16.

Surles holds a total of four school records, the indoor 60m hurdles, outdoor 100m hurdles plus the indoor and outdoor long jump. She finished ninth in the long jump at the 2016 NCAA Division III Indoor Championships and 16th in both the long jump and 100m hurdles at the 2016 NCAA Division III Outdoor Championships.

Surles won five NJAC individual titles, four in the long jump and one in the 100m hurdles, and earned a total of seven NJAC all-conference accolades (five First Team, two Second Team) during her outstanding career. She was voted NJAC Outstanding Field Athlete in 2016 and later graduated from Stockton with a bachelor’s degree in Biology/Biological Sciences.
