Kristy Rothermel is in her third year as an assistant track & field coach at Stockton, specializing in the javelin. In 2017, her first year on the coaching staff, Rothermel worked with Steven Jernee, who set the school record in the javelin, was voted NJAC Rookie of the Year and finished 13th at the NCAA Championships.

Rothermel competed in outdoor track & field and women’s basketball at McDaniel College. She holds school records and the top three performances in the discus, javelin and heptathlon. Rothermel was chosen Centennial Conference Outstanding Field Performer twice (2004-05) after winning conference titles in the discus and heptathlon both years. and She graduated from McDaniel in 2006 and was inducted into the Green Terror Sports Hall of Fame in 2016.
