Anthony Berich assumed his role as Executive Director of Athletics and Campus Recreation at Stockton University in August 2021. Berich arrived at Stockton with 24 years of experience in college athletics, including a total of 13 years as an athletic director at two NCAA Division III institutions. His time in athletic administration has been highlighted by extensive work in budgeting, development and project management.
Berich served as the director of athletics at Randolph College (Va.), a member of the Old Dominion Athletic Conference (ODAC), for three years from 2018-21. He oversaw an 18-sport intercollegiate athletics program and served as the primary contact for facility upgrades to the Michels Athletic Center, WildCat Stadium and pool.
Prior to his stint at Randolph, Berich spent 10 years (2008-18) as the director of athletics & recreation and head men’s golf coach at the University of Pittsburgh-Greensburg. Berich ran an athletics program at Pitt-Greensburg that included 12 intercollegiate sports and finished second in the 2015-16 Allegheny Mountain Collegiate Conference (AMCC) President’s Cup standings.
Berich was the primary contact for completion of the Ronnie Andrews Fitness Center and renovations to Chambers Hall Gymnasium. While at Pitt-Greensburg, he also chaired the NCAA Division III Men’s Golf Committee from 2014-16 and was voted AMCC Men’s Golf Coach of the Year in 2015.
During 1998-2008, Berich filled the roles of director of athletic media relations and head men’s golf coach at Philadelphia University (now Thomas Jefferson University), an NCAA Division II institution. Berich coordinated all publicity and marketing for 15 varsity sports and co-chaired the Philadelphia University Athletic Hall of Fame.
Berich’s career began with a one year as the assistant director of athletic media relations at UMass-Lowell. He is a 1993 graduate of the University of Pittsburgh, earning his bachelor’s degree in English. Berich later obtained his master’s in business administration from Philadelphia University in 2003.
