Christian Mortellite is in his third year on the Stockton coaching staff. Mortellite has helped the Ospreys to 36 wins and two NCAA Tournament berths in his time as an assistant coach. He arrived at Stockton after a stint as assistant boys basketball coach at Hammonton High School. He played professionally in Portugal for two years, spending one season apiece with Galitos Barreiro (2018-19) and Lusitania Expert (2019-20).
Mortellite was an accomplished player on the college level at NCAA Division II Bloomsburg University, where he set school records with 2,037 points, 314 three-pointers, 441 free throws and a .887 free throw percentage from 2014-18. Mortellite led the Huskies in scoring in each of his four seasons and was voted All-PSAC East First Team three times. He led NCAA Division II in three-pointers per game for the 2016-17 season as well.
