Darren Wan is in his second year as a member of Stockton’s track & field coaching staff. During his time as a student-athlete at Stockton from 2019-22, Wan earned numerous accolades in the throwing events, including eight NJAC All-Conference honors and three USTFCCCA All-Region nods.
Wan qualified for the NCAA Championships three times, finishing sixth and earning All-America status in the hammer throw in 2022. He also ended the COVID-shortened 2020 indoor season ranked 25th in the nation in the weight throw. During his career, Wan set school records in the weight throw and hammer throw.
Wan compiled an impressive list of academic honors, highlighted by a CoSIDA Academic All-America Second Team selection in 2022. He collected CoSIDA Academic All-District, NJAC All-Academic First Team and NJAC All-Academic Honorable Mention kudos twice each as well as three USTFCCCA All-Academic Athlete awards.
