Will Mercado joined the Stockton coaching staff for the 2026 season. Mercado spent the 2025 season as an assistant coach at Holy Family University, working alongside former Stockton assistant and player Noah Morris, who is the head coach of the Tigers.
Mercado, a New Jersey native, played at NCAA Division III powerhouse Christopher Newport from 2021-24. He played 50 career games for the Captains including 12 starts. Mercado totaled 21 goals and four assists for 25 points to go with 19 ground balls. He scored 18 goals for CNU in 2023 to help the squad advance to the NCAA Final Four.
In addition to his collegiate playing experience, Mercado also represented Puerto Rico in international competition as a member of its U20 and U21 national teams.
