BoxscoreGalloway, NJ – Richard Stockton (7-3-3, 1-1-2 NJAC) battled with NJAC foe William Paterson (5-5-2, 1-2-1 NJAC) through two overtime periods but neither team could muster a goal and the two squads settled for a 0-0 tie on Saturday afternoon. Both teams had very few opportunities in the tight defensive struggle, with the Ospreys holding a slim 17-16 margin in shots for the contest.

After a scoreless first period, Stockton was able to get two quality shots on net in the second half. Unfortunately, each attempt failed to hit the mark.
Anthony Colofranson (Woodbury Heights/Gateway) hit the crossbar 12:24 into the period and
Bobby Spracklin (Easthampton/Rancocas Valley) later rattled a shot off the post on a free kick with just 4:48 remaining. The Pioneers put two shots on net but were turned away as well, ending regulation play still scoreless.

With 1:34 left in the first overtime period,
Clevon McPherson (Kingston, JAM)/Pemberton) was awarded a free kick, but his shot  from just outside the box narrowly missed the lower right corner. With 1:15 remaining in the second overtime, the Pioneers' Omar Jallow blasted a volley shot from 10 yards out that sailed high over the net and the game ended 0-0.

Stockton goalkeeper
Bobby Varga (Toms River/Toms River East) posted his seventh shutout of the season, making three saves, with two coming in the second half, and upping his record to 5-2-3. Mike Diacheysn also made three saves for the Pioneers, earning his third shutout of the season.

Stockton will have a quick turnaround as they will face Purchase College at home on Monday. Game time is 7 pm.
