Stockton Drops 4-0 Decision to #16 Misericordia

Dallas, PA – Richard Stockton (7-7) fell for the third time in the last four games as #16 Misericordia (9-2) blanked the Ospreys by a 4-0 score on Tuesday night. The Cougars were the third nationally-ranked opponent faced by the Ospreys in the last four contests as well. Stockton was outshot in the game by a 22-3 margin and held scoreless for the seventh time this season. Adrianna Boucher (Hamilton/Steinert) had all three of those shots and all were on net.
 
Misericordia scored three goals during the first stanza as Jacqueline Stevens, Meghan Antrim and Emily Szeflinski all netted tallies in the first 31 minutes of play. The Cougars added one more in the second half to set the final score at 4-0.
 
Lauren Haynes (Williamstown/Williamstown) played the first 73:19 and made six saves for Stockton. Erin Kinneman (Aberdeen/Matawan Regional) saw her first action of the season in relief, playing the last 16:41 in net for the Ospreys without having to make a save. Maureen Ciccosanti made all three stops for Misericordia.
 
Stockton will return home for their next five games, starting with an NJAC match versus Rutgers-Newark at 2 pm on Saturday.
