BoxscoreGalloway, NJ – In a typically tense rivalry matchup, #15 Richard Stockton (6-0, 1-0 NJAC) outlasted Rowan University (3-1, 1-1 NJAC) 68-63 on Tuesday night.
Armin Cane (Pleasantville/Pleasantville) registered his first career double-double at Stockton with game highs of 23 points and 10 rebounds to pace the Ospreys in their first conference game of the year. Stockton is nationally ranked #15 by D3hoops.com.

The Ospreys jumped out to an early 12-2 lead but the Profs were able to claw their way back during the first half. After the quick spurt, Stockton held on for a 32-28 advantage at the break with
Josh Blamon (Cinnaminson/Cinnaminson), Cane and
Myles Reuben (Edison/J.P. Stevens) leading the way with 10, eight and six points respectively.

The second half saw more intense play as the Ospreys could not pull away from Rowan. Stockton led 46-38 after a
Nate Pacius (Neptune/Academy Charter) free throw with 11:44 remaining before the Profs again rallied to tie at 47-47 at the 8:26 mark. Rowan took the lead at 58-55 on a three by Kris O'Connor before Stockton put on one final run of 13-5 to seal the game. Blamon accounted for seven of those points in the last 4:57 to send Stockton to their sixth consecutive win and 13th straight over Rowan.

Cane exploded for 15 of his game-high 23 points during the second half, with Blamon adding 22 markers. Blamon also hit five three-pointers for the night. The Osprey defense forced 21 Rowan turnovers, 13 in the second half, that led to 18 points.
Zavon Johnson (Trenton/West Windsor-Plainsboro South) topped the Ospreys with three assists off the bench. The Ospreys prevailed despite shooting just 33.8 percent from the field (22-65).

For the Profs, Ike Robinson led the team with 15 points while teammate Mike Simpson tallied 12 markers and a team-high nine boards. Skylar More dished a game-high five assists for Rowan on the evening.

Stockton will take to the road for their next game as they will take on The College of New Jersey on Wednesday December 3. Game time is scheduled for 6 pm.
