BoxscoreNewark, NJ – Richard Stockton (7-2, 4-1 NJAC) used balanced scoring with five players in double figures to win 81-63 over Rutgers-Newark (6-4, 3-2) for its sixth consecutive victory in a 13-day span. The 81 points was a season-high for the Ospreys and came on the strength of 50 percent shooting from the field plus 23 points at the free throw line.
Alex Nardoza (Fords/Woodbridge) went 9-10 at the stripe and finished with team highs of 17 points and four assists.

Sara Farrell (Marlton/Cherokee) shot 6-8 from the floor including 2-2 from three-point range for 14 points while
Marina Lukianov (Howell/Howell) contributed 14 points in just 12 minutes off the bench.
Lauren Alwan (Cherry Hill/Timber Creek) filled the stat sheet with 13 points, seven rebounds, three assists and three steals. Freshman
Sasha Williams (Cherry Hill/CH West) notched her second straight double-double and third of the season with 12 points and a game-high 13 rebounds plus four blocks.

Trailing 10-8 after six minutes, Stockton seized control of the game with a 19-3 run sparked by seven points and an assist from Lukianov. The Ospreys led 27-13 after Lukianov capped the spurt with a three-pointer, and they stayed in front by double digits for the rest of the game. Alwan paced Stockton with 10 first-half points followed by Farrell and Lukianov with seven apiece. The Ospreys went 4-7 (57.1%) from beyond the arc and 14-28 (50%) overall on the way to a commanding 39-26 lead at intermission.

In the second half, Stockton turned a 13-point lead into a 31-point bulge with a 21-3 scoring spree. Lukianov again spurred the run with seven points followed by Nardoza and Farrell with five apiece. The Ospreys led 66-35 with 9:35 to play and cruised to the 81-63 victory as all 16 players saw action in the game. Stockton matched its 50-percent shooting in the first half by going 12-24 in the second stanza. In addition to the accurate shooting, the Ospreys also controlled the boards 43-32 for the game.

 Stockton will head to the Scranton Hilton Poinsettia Classic for two games next week, facing Cabrini on Wednesday at 3 pm and Eastern University on Thursday at 3 pm.
