BoxscoreEwing, NJ – Richard Stockton (3-2, 1-1 NJAC) went on the road and topped College of New Jersey (3-3, 1-2) 56-47 for its second win in three days.
Lauren Alwan (Cherry Hill/Timber Creek) led the Ospreys with 11 points and 12 rebounds for her second consecutive double-double.
Sasha Williams (Cherry Hill/CH West) and
Sara Farrell (Marlton/Cherokee) also reached double figures with 11 and 10 points respectively in the low-scoring affair.

Williams shot 5-9 from the floor and also contributed seven rebounds and seven blocks. Farrell produced a strong all-around effort with a team-high five assists plus four rebounds and three steals while playing all 40 minutes. The Stockton defense forced 23 TCNJ turnovers and scored 23 points off those miscues. The Ospreys also held the Lions to just 28.4 percent shooting from the field (19-67).

The lead changed 11 times in a tight first half. Each team topped out at a five-point advantage, with Stockton's coming at 19-14 on two free throws by
Taylor Christina (Franklinville/Delsea) that capped a 10-0 run.
Lauren Bowler (Little Silver/Red Bank Regional) later gave the Ospreys a 26-24 edge with a three-pointer at the 4:09 mark and neither team scored for the rest of the half. Alwan sparked Stockton to the two-point lead with eight first-half markers.

Stockton led for the entire second half, holding off every Lions' charge as the margin shrunk to two or less six times. The Ospreys finally put some distance between themselves and TCNJ with an 11-4 spurt during which Farrell and Bowler each sank three-pointers. Stockton was up 54-45 with 3:59 to play and the teams scored just two points apiece the rest of the way, resulting in the 56-47 win for the Ospreys.
