Boxscore

Galloway, NJ – Richard Stockton (7-3-2, 1-1-1 NJAC) never was able to get untracked and dropped a 4-0 decision to the visiting Montclair State Red Hawks (6-3, 2-0 NJAC) on Saturday afternoon. The defeat was the third straight for Stockton against Montclair State. Stockton goalkeeper Bobby Varga (Toms River/Toms River East) kicked out eight shots but suffered his third loss of the season. The Red Hawks broke the game open with three second-half goals and outshot the Ospreys 19-6 with 12 being on net.

Montclair State scored just 10:18 into the game to get things rolling as Brian Cullen tapped in a pass from Damien Bziukiewicz for the 1-0 lead. In the second half, Lucas Terci gave Montclair a 2-0 advantage with a blast from 30 yards out at 62:43.

Aaron Rose slipped past the Osprey defense off a free kick from goalie Michael Gonzalez to extend the margin at the 76:28 mark. With under six minutes to play, Kyle Goodwin finished off the scoring with his eighth goal of the season, from inside the box, to set the final score at 4-0. Stockton's best opportunity came late in the second half when Tim Sost (Egg Harbor Twp./EHT) hit the crossbar after Alex Kourahanis (Sicklerville/Timber Creek) fed him a nice pass in the box.

Gonzalez made two saves in earning his third win and first shutout of the season for Montclair State.

Stockton will have a week off until next Saturday when William Paterson comes to Galloway. Game time is scheduled for 1 pm.
