Boxscore

Galloway, NJ – Richard Stockton (2-1-1) dominated winless Brooklyn College (0-3) 7-0 in the first game of the Stockton Seashore Classic, which also was the Ospreys' home opener. Anthony Colofranson (Woodbury Hts./Gateway) led Stockton with two goals and an assist while freshman Alex Kourahanis (Sicklerville/Timber Creek) scored his first two career goals.

The game was scoreless for 28 minutes before Kourahanis tracked down a long punt by Stockton goalkeeper Chris Giraudin (Pine Bush, NY/Pine Bush) and scored the only goal that the Ospreys would need. Just 1:19 later, Kourahanis took advantage of an errant Brooklyn clear to net his second marker. Vinnie Puglia (Freehold/Freehold Twp.) headed home a free kick off the foot of Jose Islas (Bridgeton/Bridgeton) at 41:10 and the Ospreys led 3-0 at the half.

Colofranson took just 30 seconds into the second half to score his first goal of the night with an assist by Mike DeFeo (Sicklerville/Timber Creek), then DeFeo tapped in a feed from Colofranson 46 seconds later for a 5-0 count. Twenty minutes passed before Colofranson beat two defenders and potted his second tally of the game at 66:29.

Kweku Annoh (Accre, Ghana/Mfantsipim) capped the 7-0 rout with his first goal in a Stockton uniform seven seconds before the final horn. Annoh ran down a punt by Giraudin and scored on a breakaway. Giraudin made his first career start a memorable one, earning a shutout with one save and dishing two assists on long punts.

The Seashore Classic will continue tomorrow with College of New Jersey vs. Brooklyn at 3 pm followed by Stockton vs. John Carroll at 5:30 pm.
