BoxscoreGalloway, NJ – Richard Stockton (10-3, 6-1 NJAC) opened the second half with a 15-4 spurt and ran away from NJAC foe Ramapo (4-9, 0-7 NJAC) for a convincing 61-41 victory on Monday afternoon. The win was the Ospreys' third straight and ninth in their last 10 contests. Stockton, which leads the NJAC In field goal percentage defense, held the Roadrunners to just 24.0 % (12-50) shooting for the game, including 4-29 (13.8%) in the first half.

After a non-descript first 20 minutes with Stockton leading 22-13, the Ospreys opened up the second stanza on fire.
Sara Farrell (Marlton/Cherokee) and
Lauren Alwan (Winslow/Timber Creek) tallied seven and six points during the 15-4 run to give Stockton a commanding 37-15 lead that they would never relinquish.

Marina Lukianov (Howell/Howell) scored 12 of her career- and game-high 15 points during the second half to help Stockton run the advantage to as many as 28 points before setting the final score of 61-41. Sixteen of the 18 players who dressed for Stockton, saw action in the game.

In addition to Lukianov, Farrell and Alwan chipped in with 12 and 10 points respectively. Alwan also led the squad with four assists while
Alex Nardoza (Fords/Woodbridge) snared four steals. Alwan and
Lea Mendolla (Nutley/Mount St. Dominic) pilfered three steals each as Stockton swiped 14 steals and forced 26 turnovers for the game. Freshman
Sasha Williams (Cherry Hill/Cherry Hill West) grabbed a game-high eight rebounds and blocked five Roadrunners' shots.

Grace Elliott and Bintou Berete each scored eight points for Ramapo. Kellie Lane and Jina Crawford grabbed six rebounds apiece, with Crawford blocking four shots in the game.

Stockton's next game will be a road tilt against nationally-ranked Montclair State on Wednesday at 5 pm. The Red Hawks are unbeaten at 14-0 and ranked #5 in the country by D3hoops.com
