BoxscoreMontclair, NJ – #11 Richard Stockton (13-2, 7-1 NJAC) held on for a 59-57 victory over Montclair State (5-7, 2-6) that was the Ospreys' sixth win of the season by three points or less. Stockton survived on a night when it shot just 31.7 percent from the floor and hit only 5-21 (23.8%) from three-point range.
Josh Blamon (Cinnaminson/Cinnaminson) went 10-10 at the line and powered the Ospreys with a game-high 22 points and a career-high 13 rebounds for his third double-double of the season.
Â
Armin Cane (Pleasantville/Pleasantville) also hit double figures with 14 points while
Anthony Woodard (Atlantic City/Atlantic City) equaled his career high with 12 rebounds for the second consecutive game. In support of the combined 36 points by Blamon and Cane,
Marcus Harmon (Whitesboro/Middle Twp.) chipped in with eight points and nobody else on the team scored more than four. Stockton grabbed 17 offensive rebounds, which they converted into 21 second-chance points.

The Ospreys trailed 44-37 with 11 minutes to go before charging into a 52-48 lead with a 15-4 run. Harmon spearheaded the comeback with five points and Blamon scored four. Cane sank a three-pointer to increase the lead to 57-51 with 3:26 on the clock and the scoring pace slowed down the stretch. Stockton fouled Montclair's Jerome Hilton as he was attempting a game-tying three-pointer with just 0.9 seconds left. Hilton missed the first free throw, made the second and then missed the third try on purpose in hopes of a tip-in, but Blamon grabbed the rebound to seal the 59-57 win.

The margin between the teams was five or less for the first eight minutes of the second half before the Ospreys fell behind by seven, a deficit that they were able to overcome in the last 11 minutes.
