BoxscoreGalloway, NJ – Richard Stockton (15-4, 11-1 NJAC) remained hot as the Ospreys downed The College of New Jersey (9-10, 4-8 NJAC) 62-52 on Wednesday night for their third straight win. The game also was the eighth victory in their last nine contests and head coach
Joe Fussner's 600th career game at the helm of the Ospreys. Eight of the nine players who saw action for Stockton registered points in the game.

The Ospreys started strong as they jumped out to a quick 7-0 lead behind five early points by
Lauren Alwan (Winslow/Timber Creek) and led by as many as 13 points at 15-2 during the first half. The Ospreys had to fight off a late first half rally as TCNJ closed within 23-20 before the home team ended the first half on an 8-3 run to take a 31-23 lead into the break.
Sara Farrell (Marlton/Cherokee) led the way with eight points followed by Alwan with seven points and seven rebounds.

The second half turned in the Lions' favor as they fought back to take their first lead of the game at 40-37 on a 9-0 spurt after being down 37-31with 11:35 remaining. With the tilt tied at 42, Stockton pulled away as
Sasha Williams (Cherry Hill/Cherry Hill West) scored four points an
Marina Lukianov (Howell/Howell) hit a three-pointer during a 9-4 run to give the Ospreys the lead for good at 51-46.

TCNJ closed the gap to 53-51 lead with 2:30 left but Farrell converted a three-point play to end the threat and followed an Alwan layup with two free throws as the Ospreys closed with a 9-1 run to set the final score at 62-52.

Farrell led the Ospreys with 15 points and eight rebounds. Williams registered 13 markers, eight boards and four blocks while Alwan tallied 11 points and a game-high nine rebounds. Lukianov hit two of the Ospreys five three-pointers on the night and finished with eight points.
Jazmin Palma (North Bergen/North Bergen) dished a game- and career-high eight assists and also nabbed five rebounds.

For the Lions, Angelica Esposito topped the team with 15 points while teammates Kylie O'Donnell and Jess Lynch chipped in with 10 points apiece. Lynch also grabbed eight rebounds with Kelly Coughlin swiping a game-high five steals

Stockton will play again on Saturday as they will travel to face William Paterson. Game time is scheduled for 1 pm.
