BoxscoreGalloway, NJ – Stockton University (9-2-4) scored three goals in the first half, tallied five more in the second stanza and cruised to an 8-0 whitewash over City College of New York (1-10-1) on Monday afternoon.
Sara Beenders (Rahway/Allied Health & Sciences) led the Ospreys by scoring a natural hat trick in a 10-minute span of the second half and
Alexa Fama (Linwood/Mainland) chipped in with two goals and an assist.
Allison Reber (Brick/Brick Memorial) got the Ospreys on the board at 5:32 when she scored off a giveaway in front of the net for a quick 1-0 lead. Fama potted the first of her two goals on the day under three minutes later on a tap-in from
Adrianna Boucher (Hamilton/Steinert) to make it 2-0.
Alexa Aldredge (Cranford/Cranford) nailed her second tally of the season at 10:17, from Fama, for a 3-0 advantage and the rout was on.
Fama (54:00) and Boucher (56:55) tallied unassisted markers 2:55 apart in the second half for a 5-0 advantage before Beenders finished the scoring with her three goals to set the final score at 8-0. Freshman

Stockton outshot the Beavers 29-3 for the game and posted their 10th shutout of the season. Starting goalkeeper
Nicole Pallante (Brick/Brick Twp.) earned the win, playing the first 25:10 and making one save for her ninth victory of the season.
Erin Kinneman (Aberdeen/Matawan Regional) logged 34:37 without facing a shot on goal.
Dionia Henderson (Burlington Twp./Burlington Twp.) finished up for the Ospreys, playing the last 30:13 in net and making one save to cap the combined shutout. Henderson kept CCNY off the board when she stopped a penalty kick by the Beavers' Joanne Voyard at the 70:12 mark. CCNY goalkeeper Emily Ramos made 11 saves in taking the loss.
Stockton will begin a four-game road trip when they face NJAC foe Rowan University on Wednesday night at 5 p.m. in the first match of a Stockton women's/men's doubleheader against the Profs.
