BoxscoreGalloway, NJ – Stockton University (2-7, 0-1 NJAC) began NJAC play for the season with the difficult task of facing unbeaten The College of New Jersey (9-0, 1-0 NJAC), the top-ranked team in the nation and defending national champion. The Ospreys battled throughout but fell to the Lions 3-0, suffering their third shutout of the year.

Victoria Caiazzo (Manahawkin/Southern Regional) contributed a defensive save as well.
Kellie Brining (Cherry Hill/CH West) registered Stockton's only shot, which came in the second half and was wide.
Although on the defensive, Stockton played a solid first half and held the Lions scoreless, marking just the second time that TCNJ was kept off the scoreboard in a first stanza this season. The Lions finally broke through Stockton's defense 3:55 into the second half on the first of two goals by Elizabeth Morrison. Alicia Wagner scored with 18:20 remaining and Morrison added her second tally of the game 33 seconds later for the 3-0 final score.
Stockton will play another NJAC game on Wednesday when the Ospreys visit Rowan for a 7 pm matchup.
