Stockton jumped out to a 10-0 lead in the first five minutes as each starter scored a basket. Kean promptly reeled off the next 10 points for the first of three ties in the half. A layup by
Lea Mendolla (Nutley/Mount St. Dominic) gave the Ospreys the lead for good at 16-14. They increased the advantage to seven before settling for a 28-24 edge at the break behind eight points by Nardoza.
Â
In the second half, Alwan scored four points and Nardoza added a conventional three-point play during a 13-4 run that broke the game open. The outburst ended with Stockton's largest lead at 49-33 with 10:12 to play. Kean fought back to within six at the 6:23 mark but the comeback was thwarted by a Nardoza basket followed by two Farrell free throws. The Ospreys led by double digits for the last four minutes on the way to their 20th victory of the season, 64-52.
