Thiel boxscoreClermont, FL – Stockton University (5-1) overpowered Rhode Island College 12-2 in five innings and then shut out Thiel College 3-0 to complete a sweep of the day's action in Florida. The Ospreys pounded out 14 hits in the first game and manufactured three runs on just three hits in the second game. The two wins gave Stockton a three-game winning streak.

Nicole Tomo (Cedar Grove/Cedar Grove) and
Samantha Shockey (Deptford/Deptford) led the way against RIC with three hits apiece including one double each. Tomo added two RBI and a run while Shockey notched an RBI.
Savannah Riotte (Elizabeth/Elizabeth) went 2-3 with two runs and an RBI, and
Marisa Ortiz (Manchester/Manchester Twp.) knocked two hits and scored once.

Stockton plated two runs in the second inning and one in the third before breaking the game open with six tallies in the fourth frame. A three-run fifth stanza closed out the 12-2 rout.
Brittany Ksiezopolski (Hillsborough/Hillsborough) tossed all five innings and allowed two runs (one unearned) on seven hits with nine strikeouts for the win.

Hannah Bibeault (Hopatcong/Hopatcong) made her first career start a memorable one by tossing a four-hit shutout with three strikeouts against Thiel.
Taylor Hopf (Woodbridge/Woodbridge) went 1-3 with an RBI while
Gianna Cuffari (Cedar Grove/Cedar Grove) and
Holly Arentowicz (Roxbury/Roxbury) each tallied one hit and one run. The Ospreys scored two runs on three hits and an error in the second inning. They added one counter in the third frame for the 3-0 final.

After a day off tomorrow, Stockton will return to the diamond on Thursday for a 9 am game against Wisconsin-Stevens Point followed by a rematch against St. Mary's (IN), which dealt the Ospreys their only loss so far, at 11 am.
