BoxscoreGalloway, NJ – Stockton University (5-0) increased its winning streak to five straight games with an 11-6 victory over DeSales University (2-3). Stockton erased an early deficit by holding the Bulldogs scoreless for a 27-minute span while building a 7-3 lead.
Mike Caposella (Wayne/DePaul Catholic) led the attack with five goals while
Nick Bologno (Glen Gardner/North Hunterdon) contributed two goals and four assists for six points.

After Bologno's first marker tied the game at 1-1, DeSales scored twice in 43 seconds for a 3-1 edge that became 3-2 when Bologno set up
Vincent Manasia (Clark/Arthur L. Johnson) for the first of his two goals with just four seconds left in the first quarter. Stockton owned the second frame, outscoring DeSales 5-0 for a 7-3 lead at the half. Caposella struck twice in a span of four minutes followed by tallies from Bologno,
Eugene Isola (Monroe Twp./CBA) and
Chris Kaczmarski (Somers Point/Mainland).

In the third quarter, DeSales finally cracked the Stockton defense for two goals 31 seconds apart to shrink the Ospreys' lead to 7-5. For the second time in the game, Stockton found the net in the closing seconds as Caposella potted a goal with just eight ticks left to make it 8-5 after three periods.

Caposella followed with another score 1:19 into the fourth quarter to increase the margin to four at 9-5. DeSales answered to pull within three but Manasia and Caposella hit the net for Stockton down the stretch to clinch the 11-6 victory.

Stockton goalkeeper
Eric Leonard (Mt. Laurel/Lenape) earned his fifth win of the season with eight saves. The Ospreys have held all five of their opponents to seven goals or less this season.
Max Beck (Marlton/Cherokee) paced the defense with three caused turnovers and four ground balls. In addition to scoring his first goal of the year, Isola won 12 of 20 faceoffs (60%) and scooped a team-high eight ground balls.

Joe Neggia and Ryan Loughlin led DeSales with two goals apiece. Bulldogs' goalie Tyler Ornstein finished with 15 saves as his team was outshot 49-26 by Stockton.
