BoxscoreReading, PA – After starting the season with six straight wins, Stockton University (6-1) suffered its first defeat as Albright (6-1) topped the Ospreys 11-6. Stockton led 4-2 late in the second quarter but gave up six unanswered goals and never recovered.
Nick Bologno (Glen Gardner/North Hunterdon) led the Ospreys with two goals and two assists for four points while
Vincent Manasia (Clark/Arthur L. Johnson) scored two goals.

Matt Towne (Dover, DE/Dover) and Bologno scored in the first five minutes to give Stockton an early 2-0 lead but Albright came back with two goals in the last five minutes of the period for a 2-2 tie after one quarter. In the second stanza, Manasia gave the Ospreys a 3-2 edge and Bologno notched his 100th career assist. Bologno followed with a man-up goal to make it 4-2 but Albright beat the clock with a tally in the final seconds to get within 4-3 at the break.

The third quarter proved to be the pivotal stretch of the game as Albright outscored the Ospreys 5-0 and Stockton faced an 8-4 deficit entering the fourth period. Goals by Manasia and
Guy Loggi (Somers Point/Mainland) pulled the Ospreys within 8-6 with 10:58 remaining but the rally stalled from there. Stockton went scoreless for the rest of the game while Albright clinched the outcome with three more markers and dealt Stockton its first loss of the season, 11-6.

Eugene Isola (Monroe Twp./Christian Brothers Academy) and
Lance Pecina (Clark/Arthur L. Johnson) scooped three ground balls apiece.

Stockton will play its third straight road game on Wednesday, visiting Eastern University for a 3:30 pm contest.
