BoxscoreGalloway, NJ – Stockton University (7-4) exploded for 11 runs in the first three innings and cruised to a 12-5 victory over Wesley College (3-10) on Tuesday afternoon. The Ospreys rapped out 14 hits led by
Stephen Struble (Hammonton/Hammonton) and
Erik Danser (Marlton/Cherokee) with three safeties each, with Struble driving in four runs. The win extended the Ospreys' streak to five consecutive games.

Stockton started the onslaught in their half of the first inning as they plated four runs on RBI hits by Danser,
Mark Jankowski (Sewell/Washington Twp.) and
George Eisenhart (Harrison Twp./Clearview) for a 4-0 lead. They continued in the second inning as Struble knocked in two runs with a double and Danser added another RBI for a 7-0 lead after two frames.

A Wesley error and RBI by
Brett Solomen (Harrison Twp./Clearview) and Struble made it 11-0 Stockton after three innings. The Wolverines scored a single run in the fifth and two more in the sixth for an 11-3 Osprey lead before Stockton put their final tally on the board in the bottom of the seventh.

Keith Tappert (Toms River/TR East) and
Matt Mangarella (Milltown/Spotswood) singled, with Solomen drawing a walk to load the bases. Struble then knocked in his fourth run of the game with a sacrifice fly to make the score 12-3 in favor of Stockton. Two unearned runs scored by Wesley in the top of the ninth set the final score of 12-5 in favor of the Ospreys.

In addition to three hits each by Struble and Danser, Tappert and
Andy Oliver (Penns Grove/Penns Grove) each had two hits, with Tappert scoring three times, tying Struble for game-high honors.

Aidan Ryan (Cedar Run/Msgr. Donovan) tossed the first three innings allowing just three hits to pick up his second win of the season.
Doug Pastore (New Providence/New Providence),
Dylan Warburton (Sewell/Washington Twp.) and
Jason Fox (West Deptford/West Deptford) followed to finish up the game for Stockton, as they allowed just one earned run in the contest.

KeAndre Jones had three hits for the Wolverines, with Joe Hummel picking up two RBI. Alex Marrs started on the hill and took the loss.

Stockton will begin play in the NJAC on Saturday when they will host Montclair State for a doubleheader. The first game is scheduled for 11:30 am.Â
