Stockton Wins Second Straight, 14-8

Elizabethtown, PA – Stockton University (7-1) picked up their second consecutive victory with a 14-8 road win over Elizabethtown (3-4) on Tuesday afternoon. Nicole Miller (Southampton/Seneca) led the way with four goals and three assists for seven points on the day for Stockton.
 
The Ospreys started out strong as they potted the first three goals of the game in a span of 2:27. Zoey Kramer (Eatontown/Red Bank Catholic) scored her first tally of the game at the 27:13 mark for a 1-0 lead. She was followed in quick order by Colleen Knight (Pennsauken/Camden Catholic) and freshman Brianna Rolke (Berlin/Eastern), with Miller assisting, for a 3-0 advantage. The Blue Jays got within one at 3-2 but Kim Raichelson (Brick/Brick Memorial and Knight made it 5-2 at the half.
 
The second half was a high-scoring affair as the teams combined for 15 goals with Stockton edging the Blue Jays 9-6 in the second period. Miller tallied all four of her goals, with Kramer adding two scores. Knight and Skyler Mahoney-Kendra (Tinton Falls/St. John Vianney) chipped in with one marker each. The half also included a rare own goal for Stockton to offset six tallies by Elizabethtown and set the final score at 14-8.
 
In addition to Miller's big day, Kramer and Knight added three goals each. Mahoney-Kendra, Rolke and Toni Roma (West Long Branch/Shore Regional) dished one assist each. The assist for Roma was the first of her career. Mary Stornes (Galloway/Absegami) made eight saves in net, earning her seventh win of the season for the Ospreys.
 
Dana Robidoux and Addie Stang scored three goals each for the Blue Jays, while goalkeeper Michelle Fuller made 11 saves in suffering the loss.
 
Stockton will have eight days off before they travel to face Drew University on Wednesday April 1. Game time is set for 6 pm.
