Game 2Galloway, NJ – Stockton University (14-6, 4-5 NJAC) swept an NJAC doubleheader from New Jersey City (2-18, 0-7) by scores of 8-0 in six innings and 10-2 in five innings as both games ended early on the run rule. Pitcher
Brittany Ksiezopolski (Hillsborough/Hillsborough) starred in the opener by pitching a perfect game, her second career no-hitter, with eight strikeouts. Ksiezopolski also went 3-4 with a double and an RBI on offense.
Dominique Dorris (Mantua/Clearview) hit a home run in each game for the Ospreys.

In the opener, Ksiezopolski retired all 18 batters that she faced while Dorris went 3-4 with a double, homer and three RBI.
Nicole Tomo (Cedar Grove/Cedar Grove) contributed two of Stockton's 12 hits and scored twice.

Dorris doubled home two runs in the first inning and
Taylor Hopf (Woodbridge/Woodbridge) ripped an RBI double in the second inning for a 3-0 Stockton lead. Dorris lined a solo blast to left center in the fourth frame for a 4-0 score.

Stockton ended the game with four more runs in the bottom of the sixth. Hopf and pinch-runner
Chelsea Thomas (Barrington/Haddon Hts.) scored the first two runs on an NJCU error. Ksiezopolski smacked an RBI single to score Tomo, who had singled earlier in the inning. The game then ended on an RBI single by pinch-hitter
Catherine Wunder (Clinton/North Hunterdon) that invoked the run rule at 8-0.

In the second game, Wunder went 2-2 and scored twice while eight additional Ospreys added one hit apiece. Dorris slugged her third homer of the season while freshman pitcher
Hannah Bibeault (Hopatcong/Hopatcong) scattered seven hits and fanned four to earn the win.

New Jersey City broke on top with two runs in the top of the first but Stockton answered quickly in the bottom half as Dorris followed a walk to Wunder with a two-run bomb to left center that tied the game 2-2. The Ospreys took the lead for good on an RBI single by
Marisa Ortiz (Manchester/Manchester Twp.) in the second frame and added two more in the third on RBI hits by
Samantha Shockey (Deptford/Deptford) and freshman
Samantha Liepe (Mays Landing/Oakcrest) for a 5-2 advantage.

Stockton pulled away with five runs on five hits in the fourth inning. Thomas led off with a single, stole second and scored on an RBI double by
Savannah Riotte (Elizabeth/Elizabeth). Three batters later, Riotte came home on the first career hit by freshman
Alison Bastien (Barrington/Haddon Hts.) to make it 7-2.
Lauren Knoble (Clifton, VA/Centreville) knocked in the next two runs with a double and later scored the final tally of the 10-2 rout on a sacrifice fly by
Alison Waldron (Little Egg Harbor/Pinelands).

Stockton will return to action tomorrow with a makeup game at #6 Rowan University at noon.
