BoxscoreGalloway, NJ – Stockton University (8-4, 1-2 NJAC) was outscored by Kean University (4-8, 1-2 NJAC) 3-0 in the first 4:54 of the game and never recovered as they dropped a 12-4 decision on Saturday evening.
Lauren Ivancich (Beach Haven/Southern) and
Zoey Kramer (Eatontown/Red Bank Catholic) led the Ospreys with two goals each on the night. The loss was the third loss in the last four contests for Stockton.

Kramer scored both of her tallies during the first half that ended with Kean leading 4-2 at the break. The second half was all Cougars as they unleashed a barrage of eight goals in 20 minutes to pull away from the Ospreys. The Cougars tallied three times before Ivancich stopped the run, scoring twice in 30 seconds to cut the deficit to 7-4. That was all the scoring Stockton could muster as Kean potted the last five markers to set the final score at 12-4. Â

Ivancich and Kramer both added assists on the evening, as did teammate
Nicole Miller (Southampton/Seneca). Freshman
Amanda Scarpa (Manalapan/Freehold Twp.) led the Ospreys with three ground balls while Ivancich caused a team-high three turnovers.
Mary Stornes (Galloway/Absegami) suffered the loss in net, making 10 saves.

Meghan Schneck tallied three goals and two assists for five points to lead Kean. Jordan Blanda and Brittany Ballack added three and two goals respectively. Goalkeeper Nikki Apostolopoulos stopped 11 Stockton shots in earning the victory.

Stockton will travel to Glassboro on Tuesday when the Ospreys will take on Rowan University. Game time is scheduled for 7 pm. Â Â Â
