BoxscoreRiverdale, NY – Stockton University (10-4, 3-2 Skyline) reached double digits in wins for the second straight year by dominating winless Mount St. Vincent (0-11, 0-4) 17-8 for its 10th victory of the season.
Mike Caposella (Wayne/DePaul Catholic) scored seven goals and dished two assists for nine points while
Nick Bologno (Glen Gardner/North Hunterdon) tossed in three goals and dealt seven assists for 10 points. Bologno now has 266 career points, one shy of the school record of 267 by Rory McPeek (1997-00).

Vincent Manasia (Clark/Arthur L. Johnson) scored three of his five goals in the first quarter, the last coming with just three seconds left in the period, to stake Stockton to a 3-1 lead. Manasia and Caposella each netted two tallies in the second quarter as the Ospreys doubled Mount St. Vincent 4-2 in the stanza to lead 7-3 at the break.

Each team scored five goals during an explosive third quarter. Bologno outscored Mount St. Vincent 3-2 in the first eight minutes to extend Stockton's lead to 10-5 but the Dolphins answered with three goals in 2:27 to close the gap to 10-8. Caposella and
Matt Towne (Dover, DE/Dover) halted the run with markers in the last three minutes of the period to make it 12-8 Stockton after three.

The Ospreys clinched the game with the only five goals of the fourth quarter. Caposella needed just seven seconds after the starting faceoff to score the first, and he poured in the next three as well.
Mark Scherzer (Holmdel/Holmdel) closed the scoring with 4:22 to play in the 17-8 triumph.

Stockton notched a double-digit win total for the fourth time in school history (1997, 02, 14, 15). Goalkeeper
Eric Leonard (Mt. Laurel/Lenape) earned the win with seven saves in three quarters.
Pat Quinn (Shrewsbury/Red Bank Regional) played the fourth period and made two stops.
Eugene Isola (Monroe Twp./CBA) won 21 of 27 faceoffs, scooped 11 ground balls and handed out one assist.

Stockton will have a week off before closing the regular season with a Skyline Conference home game against Farmingdale State next Saturday at 4 pm.
