Boxscore

Galloway, NJ – Stockton University (11-4, 4-2 Skyline) rallied from behind twice to pull out a 9-7 victory over Farmingdale State (8-7, 3-3 Skyline) and clinch the #2 seed in the upcoming Skyline Conference tournament. Mike Caposella (Wayne/DePaul Catholic) led the scoring with four goals while Nick Bologno (Glen Gardner /North Hunterdon) added a goal and three assists. Bologno became the Ospreys' all-time leading scorer with 270 points, breaking the 267 total by Rory McPeek (1997-2000).

Stockton fell behind by a 4-1 deficit early in the second period before Max Becker (Oak Ridge/Jefferson) and Caposella tallied to cut the lead to 4-3. A marker by Guy Loggi (Somers Point/Mainland) offset a Rams goal to make it 5-4 at the break.

Bologno scored his 28th goal of the season 1:17 into the third period to tie the contest at 5-5. Farmingdale tallied twice before Vincent Manasia (Clark/Arthur L. Johnson), from Bologno, cut the lead to 7-6 after three periods. Bologno's assist broke the all-time scoring record. The final stanza was all Ospreys as Caposella scored three straight goals and the defense held the Rams scoreless over the final 15 minutes to set the final score at 9-7. Bologno added two more assists to tie the school record of 42 helpers in a season.

Tony Pagano (Flemington/Hunterdon Central) had an oustanding afternoon, winning 14-17 (.823) faceoffs and leading all players with seven ground balls. Goalkeeper Pat Quinn (Shrewsbury/Red Bank Regional) came on in relief of Eric Leonard (Mount Laurel/Lenape) after the half and earned the win, making three saves for Stockton.
