Eric Leonard (Mt. Laurel/Lenape) tied his career high with 15 saves, but the Ospreys were outshot 50-22 and scored just once in the first three quarters.

Mike Caposella (Wayne/DePaul Catholic) netted two of Stockton's four goals.
Nick Bologno (Glen Gardner/North Hunterdon) finished with a goal and an assist while
Erik Beck (Marlton/Cherokee) and
Max Beck (Marlton/Cherokee) topped the team with four ground balls apiece.

The Ospreys played now seven-time Skyline champion Montclair State tough before being edged 9-7 in a regular season meeting on April 1, however this matchup went a different way. The Red Hawks took a 2-0 lead before Bologno got Stockton on the board with 4:21 left in the first quarter. Montclair State scored late in the period for a 3-1 count and potted the only goal of the second stanza to leave the Ospreys with a 4-1 deficit at the break despite 11 first-half saves by Leonard.

Stockton yielded a pair of goals in the last five minutes of the third quarter for a 6-1 shortfall after three periods. Caposella snapped a drought of 37:58 by the Ospreys to open the fourth-quarter scoring but Montclair answered with a tally of its own 1:09 later. Caposella struck again with 9:09 remaining to get the Ospreys within 7-3.

The Red Hawks sealed the outcome by scoring the next four markers before
Chris Kaczmarski (Somers Point/Mainland) tossed in a goal with five seconds to play that made the final score 11-4. Stockton was felled by Montclair State in the Skyline Conference tournament for the fourth straight year. The defeat also snapped a four-game winning streak by the Ospreys.

Stockton is likely to receive a berth in the ECAC Mid-Atlantic tournament. The ECAC bracket will be announced on Monday, May 4, with play beginning on Wednesday, May 6.
