BoxscoreHaverford, PA – Stockton University (7-2) had its four-game winning streak snapped with a 2-0 defeat in a non-conference road game at Haverford (4-3). The Ospreys had outscored their opponents by a combined 11-1 during the streak but were shut out for the first time this season. Haverford outshot Stockton 12-9 and Ospreys' goalkeeper
Bobby Varga (Toms River/TR East) made two saves.
Haverford took the early lead as Brady Seitz found the net with a header off a corner kick just 6:07 after the opening kickoff. The Ospreys managed four shots in the first half and trailed 1-0 at the break. Stockton's one-goal deficit remained through almost all of the second half as the Ospreys could not break through for the tying goal. Seitz scored his second marker of the game on a breakaway with 1:14 remaining to send Stockton to the 2-0 setback.
Anthony Colofranson (Woodbury Hts. Gateway) fired a game-high four shots for Stockton but his four-game goal streak came to an end.
Alex Kourahanis (Sicklerville/Timber Creek) registered two shots however the Ospreys could not solve Haverford goalie Sam Miller who earned the shutout with four saves.
Stockton will hit the road again on Saturday for an NJAC game at #12 Montclair State at 7 pm.
