Montclair, NJ – Stockton University (6-4, 0-1 NJAC) began conference play on the road at #14 Montclair State (8-3, 1-0) and suffered a 3-0 setback in its second game this season against a ranked opponent.
 
Stockton goaltender Emily Sorochynskyj (Boonton/Boonton) reached double digits in saves for the fourth time this season, finishing with 10 stops.
 
After 23 scoreless minutes, the Red Hawks scored three goals in a span of 7:49 late in the first half. Stockton's best scoring chance came on a shot by Sarah Fisher (Monroeville/Woodstown) that was kept out of the net on a defensive save by Montclair State's Camille Maimone. Sarah Gawrysiak (Haddon Twp./Haddon Twp.) also registered a shot on goal for the Ospreys.
 
Stockton will play another road game at Gwynedd Mercy on Tuesday at 7 p.m.
