Ewing, NJ– Stockton University (3-7-4, 1-3-2 NJAC) scored a goal in each half and snapped a seven-match winless streak (0-5-2) with a 2-0 shuout over The College of New Jersey (7-6-1, 3-3 NJAC) on Wednesday night.
Anthony Colofranson (Woodbury Heights/Gateway) and
Alex Kourahanis (Sicklerville/Timber Creek) each potted a goal for the Ospreys.
Kourahanis scored his third tally of the season in the first half, when he took a chip pass from
Zach Burns (Washington Twp./Washington Twp.) and lifted a volley into the net for the 1-0 lead with 22:43 gone. The game remained 1-0 in the Ospreys' favor for the rest of the period.
Stockton potted the insurance marker at 60:16 when Colofranson took a penalty shot that was saved but scored on his own rebound, his fifth goal of the year, for the 2-0 advantage. The Osprey defense made it stand up to give Stockton its first victory since September 14.

Michael Lescano (Union/St. Benedict's Prep) kicked out all four shots on net that he saw in earning his second shutout of the season. The Lions' Dan Walsh made eight saves on the night in suffering the loss.
Stockton will return home to face William Paterson on Saturday for their next match. Game time is set for 2 p.m.
