Glassboro, NJ – Stockton University (17-7, 5-1 NJAC) dominated Rowan University (7-15, 3-3) in three sets 25-19, 25-16, 25-9 for its third straight win.
Idi Uffen (Williamstown/Williamstown) led the Ospreys with 10 kills and four blocks, both match highs.
Jessica Ciandella (Beachwood/Roselle Catholic) played a strong match, finishing with 19 assists, seven digs, two kills and two aces.
Lindsay Schuele (Sparta/Sparta) spiked seven kills and
Rebecka Zabilowicz (Belmar/Red Bank Regional) scooped 17 digs. All 14 healthy Stockton players saw action in the match.
The Ospreys started and ended the first set with runs. Stockton raced out to a 7-1 lead and later scored the last six points of the set after Rowan had pulled into a 19-19 tie. Uffen had two kills during the clinching 6-0 spurt.
Stockton jumped out to a 5-1 lead to begin the second set.
Kara Glynn (Severna Park, MD/Severna Park) later smacked two kills during a six-point run that made it 16-7 and the Ospreys cruised to a 25-16 victory in the stanza.
Stockton rolled in the third set, led by Uffen who tallied four early kills as the Ospreys built a commanding 13-1 lead. The margin never dipped below 10 points the rest of the way and Stockton closed out the match 25-9 to complete their third straight win.
Stockton will travel to Stevenson University (MD) for a tri-match on Saturday. The Ospreys will face Stevenson at 1 p.m. and Bethany at 5 p.m.
