Owings Mills, MD – Stockton University (17-9) ran into some stiff competition in a tri-match at Stevenson University. The Ospreys fell to the host Mustangs (19-7) in four sets 18-25, 25-23, 25-13, 25-23 and then were downed by Bethany (WV) (18-11) in three frames 25-14, 25-22, 28-26.
Lindsay Schuele (Sparta/Sparta) led Stockton in kills in each match, totaling 25 on the day.
Schuele registered a double-double of 15 kills and 12 digs against Stevenson while
Jenna Lara (Ridgefield/Ridgefield) spiked eight kills.
Kennedy Hubbard (Moorestown/Moorestown) dished a career-high 23 assists and
Jessica Ciandella (Beachwood/Roselle Catholic) added 18 helpers.
Rebecka Zabilowicz (Belmar/Red Bank Regional) led all players with 21 digs.
Schuele tallied 10 kills while
Idi Uffen (Williamstown/Williamstown) and
Sarah Walsh (Flemington/Hunterdon Central) smacked nine apiece versus Bethany. Zabilowicz again was the digs leader in the match, this time with 24. Ciandella and Hubbard handed out 22 and 15 assists respectively.
Stockton returns home to host New Jersey City in an NJAC match on Tuesday at 7 p.m.
