Galloway, NJ – Stockton University (9-3-1, 3-1-1 NJAC) picked up their second straight win with a 3-0 shutout over Rutgers-Newark (1-10-2, 0-5) on Saturday afternoon. Mairead McKeary (Cranford/Cranford) led the Ospreys with a goal and assist on the day. Head Coach Nick Juengert picked up win number 199 for his career at Stockton with the victory.

The first half was all Ospreys as they outshot the Scarlet Raiders 11-3 during the period. Lindsey Thomas (Swedesboro/Kingsway) broke the scoreless affair at the 20-minute mark with a tap-in goal for a 1-0 lead that would hold up through the break. Adrianna Boucher (Hamilton/Steinert) assisted on the score.

The Ospreys put the game away with two scores in the second half and McKeary had a hand in both markers. She scored her first goal of the season in the 77th minute, converting a defensive giveaway, then assisted on the final tally of the day with just under two minutes remaining in the game. Michelle Sander (Ewing/Notre Dame) blasted a shot off a McKeary pass to set the final score at 3-0.

Stockton goalkeeper Nicole Pallante (Brick/Brick Twp.) made four saves to post her fifth shutout and her ninth victory of the season. Diana Carvalho took the loss for the visitors, kicking out seven Osprey attempts in the contest.
