Newark, NJ - Stockton University (2-7-4, 0-3-2) battled Rutgers-Newark (13-2, 4-1) for over 83 scoreless minutes before surrendering two late goals that resulted in a 2-0 setback for the Ospreys on Saturday night. Freshman goalkeeper Michael Lescano (Union/St. Benedict's Prep) made five saves in the game.

Shots were 12-8 and corner kicks were 5-3, both in favor of the Scarlet Raiders. Anthony Colofranson (Woodbury Hts./Gateway) paced Stockton with five shots including one on goal. Nicolas Bogen (Franklin/Franklin) also registered a shot on goal for the Ospreys.

Rutgers-Newark broke the scoreless deadlock by scoring on a free kick with 6:17 remaining and added another tally in the final minute for the 2-0 result.

Stockton hits the road again on Wednesday for an NJAC game at The College of New Jersey at 7:30 p.m.
