Winter Haven, FL - Stockton University (1-6) continued its spring break trip to Florida with a game against Dickinson (9-3) in which the Ospreys were outscored 17-1 by a high-powered squad that has scored seven or more runs seven times in 12 games.
 
Dan Sweeney (Middletown/Middletown South) went 3-5 with an RBI while Vaughn Champion (Galloway/Absegami) and Bryan Bessinger (Burlington Twp./Burlington Twp.) each were 2-4 at the plate.
 
Sweeney doubled home Bryce DiPaola (Eastampton/Rancocas Valley) with two outs in the second inning to give Stockton an early 1-0 lead. The Ospreys stayed in front until the top of the fourth when Dickinson pulled ahead with three runs. The Red Devils added 14 more runs in the next four frames and downed Stockton 17-1.
 
Stockton will be right back on the field tomorrow for a game against Calvin College (MI) at 4:30 p.m.
