Stockton Wins Third Straight, 14-4

Immaculata, PA – Stockton University (5-1) scored the first four goals of the game and went on to its third straight win, 14-4 over Immaculata (2-5). Vincent Manasia (Clark/Arthur L. Johnson) scored a game-high five goals to lead the Ospreys to victory.
 
James O'Donnell (Mt. Laurel/Lenape) tallied three goals and three assists while Zack Aho (Shamong/Seneca) chipped in with two goals and two assists. Stockton outshot Immaculata 53-21 in the game.
 
Aho got the Ospreys on the board just 1:49 into the game. Manasia and O'Donnell followed with goals 1:10 apart and then Tommy Gallo (Clinton/North Hunterdon) potted the first of his two markers for a 4-0 Stockton lead after one quarter.
 
In the second period, the teams each scored twice before Stockton broke the game open with three straight goals in a span of 2:01. Mark Scherzer (Holmdel/Holmdel) started the barrage and O'Donnell pumped in two straight counters for a 9-2 lead before a late Immaculata goal made it 9-3 Stockton at the half.
 
The Ospreys outscored the Mighty Macs 4-0 in the third quarter, with Manasia netting all four goals for a commanding 13-3 advantage. Defender Lance Pecina (Clark/Arthur L. Johnson) scored early in the fourth stanza and Immaculata answered with the last goal of the game at the 9:16 mark. Stockton protected the lead from there and won 14-4.
 
Stockton goalkeeper Pat Quinn (Shrewsbury/Red Bank Regional) earned the win with seven saves in 43:31 between the pipes before he was relieved. Tyler Bollard (Philadelphia, PA/Archbishop Ryan) won 13 of 16 faceoffs and grabbed a game-high 11 ground balls.
 
Stockton will be back on the road again on Saturday for game at Muhlenberg at 4 p.m.
