Boxscore

Allentown, PA – Stockton University (13-5) played the first ECAC tournament game in the program's brief three-year history and topped Lebanon Valley (11-8) 9-6 in a semifinal at Muhlenberg College. Senior Lauren Ivancich (Beach Haven/Southern Regional) led the Ospreys with three goals.

Sarah Frankovic (Long Valley/West Morris Central) and Skyler Mahoney-Kendra (Tinton Falls/St. John Vianney) chipped in with two goals apiece. Colleen Knight (Pennsauken/Camden Catholic) filled the stat sheet with one goal, one assist, four ground balls, two draw controls and one caused turnover.

After surrendering the first goal, Stockton crept ahead 2-1 on tallies by Ivancich and Knight 1:33 apart. The Dutchwomen tied the game 2-2 but consecutive markers by Ivancich, Mahoney-Kendra and Frankovic in the last 10 minutes of the first half gave the Ospreys a 5-2 lead at the break.

Lebanon Valley answered Stockton's three-goal spurt with one of its own in the second half to pull into a 5-5 tie with 14 minutes to play. The Ospreys responded with three straight to clinch the outcome. Frankovic hit the 50-goal mark for the season and markers by Ivancich and Mahoney-Kendra followed to give Stockton an 8-5 advantage.

The Dutchwomen made it 8-6 with 3:42 remaining but Mary Schmid (Lumberton/Holy Cross) countered with a goal 59 seconds later to seal the 9-6 triumph for the Ospreys.

Stockton outshot Lebanon Valley 28-12, with goalkeeper Mary Stornes (Galloway/Absegami) making four saves to earn the win.

The Ospreys will play weekend host Muhlenberg in the ECAC championship game tomorrow at 3 p.m.
