Galloway, NJ – Stockton University (1-2-1) played its home opener in the first game of the annual Seashore Classic at G. Larry James Stadium and tied FDU-Florham (0-2-2) 1-1.
Anthony Colofranson (Woodbury Hts./Gateway) scored Stockton's goal for the second straight game.
The Ospreys outshot the Devils 8-2 in the first half. With 13:46 remaining in the stanza, freshman
Justin Ruiz (Wayne/Wayne Hills) drew a foul in the box. Colofranson then potted the penalty kick to give Stockton a 1-0 lead.
The Ospreys protected the slim advantage for nearly 54 minutes before Anthony Pares tied the match on a 25-yard shot with just 4:51 remaining in regulation. Stockton outshot FDU-Florham 6-0 in the two overtime periods but could not produce the winning goal and the teams settled for the 1-1 draw.

Michael Lescano (Union/St. Benedict's Prep) played the entire game and improved to 1-1-1 in his first three college games without making a save. Frank Maggiore Jr. finished with five stops for FDU-Florham.
The Stockton Seashore Classic will continue tomorrow with Ramapo taking on FDU-Florham at 1 p.m. followed by Stockton vs. Susquehanna at 3 p.m.
