Galloway, NJ – Stockton University (1-2-2) wrapped up the Seashore Classic with its second straight 1-1 draw, this time against Susquehanna (1-3-1). Freshman
Darnell Lopez (Paterson/St. Benedict's Prep) scored his first career goal for the Ospreys.
Susquehanna registered the only three shots of a scoreless and uneventful first half before both goals came in the second stanza. The River Hawks got on the board first as Max Maidenberg scored on a 15-yard shot at 57:56. Stockton answered just 6:20 later as Lopez finished a give-and-go with
Nick Cristea (Medford/Shawnee) to draw the Ospreys even at 1-1.
Stockton outshot Susquehanna 3-2 during the two overtimes. The Ospreys also produced the only corner kick in either OT but neither team broke through for the game-winner and the match ended in a 1-1 tie.
Stockton goalkeeper
Michael Lescano (Union/St. Benedict's Prep) made two saves, as did his counterpart Chris Dempsey for Susquehanna.
Stockton will take to the road on Wednesday for a non-conference game at Alverina at 7 p.m.
