Boxscore

Reading, PA – Stockton University (2-2-2) snapped a four-game winless skid (0-2-2) with a 2-0 shutout in a road game at Alvernia University (0-6). Anthony Colofranson (Woodbury Hts./Gateway) scored twice to pass Rafael Duarte (2007-10) and move into second in Stockton history with 56 career goals.

Colofranson gave the Ospreys the early lead just 17:23 into the game. The senior volleyed home a cross from the left corner by Nick Auleta (Southampton/Hammonton), who registered his second assist of the season on the play.

Stockton held a one-goal lead until the 60:25 mark when Colofranson converted a penalty kick for his fourth goal of the season to give the Ospreys a 2-0 advantage. With the tally, Colofranson moved into second all-time at Stockton, just five goals shy of the school record of 61 markers by Hernan Maldonado (1983-86).

Alvernia outshot Stockton 9-1 in the second half but the Ospreys protected the lead and posted their first shutout of the season. Freshman goalkeeper Michael Lescano (Union/St. Benedict's Prep) played the first 67 minutes and made three saves. Brian Swider (Brick/Brick Memorial) saw his first action of the season and made one stop in the last 23 minutes to seal the combined shutout.

Stockton will play its NJAC opener at Kean University on Saturday at 1 p.m.
